Ingredients

Sheet Puff Pastry
about 9x9 inches / 23x23 cm, thawed

Cream Cheese
softened
3
oz
Thinly Sliced Ham
or finely chopped
½
cup
Shredded Cheese
(mozzarella, cheddar, or Swiss)
1
Egg
lightly beaten (for brushing)
Pinch
of Black Pepper or Dried Herbs

Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Roll out the puff pastry and divide into 3 parts cutting horizontally.
Spread the cream cheese all over the surface, then add the ham slices and shredded cheese. Season lightly with black pepper or herbs if you want.
Fold each part in half and pinch the borders to seal well.
With a knife, cut the rolls into bites, about 1 inch wide, then transfer them to the baking sheet and brush the tops with beaten egg.
Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until golden and puffed. Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For best results, use chilled pastry and preheat the oven fully before baking.
Try adding herbs or mustard to the filling for extra flavor.
