Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Arrange baguette slices in a single layer on the baking sheet. Brush the tops lightly with olive oil.
Toast in the oven for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crisp. Remove and let cool slightly.
Spread goat cheese on each toasted baguette slice. Use the back of a spoon or a butter knife for even spreading.
Half or quarter the tomatoes, season lightly with salt and top the crostini, using a spoon to gently place them over the cheese.
Garnish with fresh finely chopped basil leaves and a drizzle of balsamic glaze before serving.
Serve immediately at room temperature or slightly warm.
