A beautiful cat silhouette painted with galaxy colors and little stars. A perfect craft for any cat lover. This watercolor painting is very easy and quick to do!
The very first watercolor painting I every did was a starry night. I always liked drawing but I always thought I wasn't good at painting. I always managed to screw up the colors. Every time I tried, it was a disaster.
My mom has always been good at painting and one afternoon she pushed me to try watercolors to spend some time.
I didn't even know where to start but it turned out to be easier than I thought. My mom instructions were clear:
- Wet the paper
- Add the colors
And it's just that. When there is enough water on the paper, the colors mix together in a wonderful way. The good thing about watercolors is that they don't have to be precise, the more a
bstract, the better. One of the best subjects for watercolors are skyes: sunsets, night skies and galaxies. I love painting skies because it's much easier and faster (I do love fast crafts) and the result is always different and spectacular.

Start by tracing the cat silhouette on the paper. You can do it free hand or download the template below to trace it:
With your brush, wet the paper inside the silhouette, then start adding drops of color all around until it's fully colored.
With the black watercolor, add some shadows here and there around the border.
Let it completely dry (1-2 hours).
Mix the white watercolor with water and then tap the brush above the painting or stroke the brush on the pencil to "spray" little drops all other the painting to mimic the stars.
