These cute printable cards are a fun baby shower game for your friends and family to write down the predictions for your baby girl or baby boy. You can easily download the blue or pink version and print them out on paper or cardboard ready for your baby shower party!

Here in the Netherlands it's customary for the closest girlfriends of the mama-to-be to organize a surprise baby shower. A couple of months ago I was part of the organization for the baby shower of one of my friends and I really wanted it to be perfect and fun!

The most difficult part was finding nice games and activities to do. There are many baby showers game that you can find on the internet, but I find most of them to be quite lame and not fun at all. I absolutely refused to do the unexplicably popular "guess the diaper content" game and the "don't say baby" game. The episode of the baby shower in Gilmore Girls immediately comes to mind.

After a brainstorming session we went for the "guess the baby food" and "guess the baby picture" games. I printed out baby pictures of all the participants and everyone had to guess who was who. I was the only one knowing the answers so it was also a nice ice breaker for the people who didn't know each other.

After the fun games we ate some food and then everybody filled out a baby prediction card and then decorated onesies with fabric markers. A nice and personal keepsake for the parents to be!

How do baby prediction cards work?

You can simply download the file below and print it in standard paper or thicker paper or cardboard, depending what you have available. I recommend using matte paper so it will be easier to write on it.

Cut out the cards and place them on a table with a few pens. The guests can fill them out whenever they want during the evening. Or you can decide a moment in which everybody fill them out at the same time.

The guests can then write on the cards the predictions of your baby such as eyes color, date of birth and so on. You can also ask to write their own name on the back if you want to know who wrote what.

When everybody's done, collect the cards and put them in a box. Once the baby is born you can then check the predictions to see who guessed the most parts correctly. Then send a message to the guests to inform them of the results!
